Lappeenranta University of Technology
General description of the institution
Lappeenranta University of Technology is a Finnish university which has three schools: LUT Engineering Science (LENS), LUT Energy systems (LES) and LUT School of Business Management (LBM). The number of students is about 5,000 from almost 70 different nationalities. Yearly about 600 Master of Science, 370 Bachelor’s degree and 40-50 doctoral degrees graduate from LUT.
Description of the institute
LENS acts as an international expert in the fields of separation, purification and process technology, as well as machine vision and pattern recognition, industrial mathematics and different branches of physics. Our School provides instructions in both English and Finnish in our Master’s and Doctor’s programmes in the fields of technology. The LUT School of Engineering Science provides all students of technology with the basic readiness and skills they need in mathematics and physics and with the tools for researching and applying phenomena.
